On roofs and terraces, waterproofing is not only a “sheet”; thermal bridges, vapour movement and rainfall routing must be considered together.
Even the best membrane will pond if slope and gutter lines are wrong. We therefore read the architectural solution together with gutter capacity and discharge points.
For terraces with wet finishes or landscaping, root penetration and impact-resistant protection layers are planned.
On existing roofs, stripping and substrate health are reported; “overlay only” is not always feasible.
