PVC membranes form a homogeneous welded sheet, which is why they are preferred on roofs, terraces and large flat areas. UV and movement performance comes from correct product selection.
Mechanically fixed or fully adhered systems depend on roof pitch, wind load and substrate type. Detail drawings are aligned with site measurements before work starts.
Corners, gutters and parapet transitions receive additional sealing layers and details that allow thermal movement. Flexibility is an asset, but poor detailing can concentrate stress and cause tears.
When there is a finish layer (tiles, paving, etc.), load distribution over the membrane and the use of drainage mats are evaluated together.
